松香基季铵盐是一种天然含有菲环结构的阳离子表面活性剂，具有较低的临界胶束浓度和较低的表面张力，因而具有比普通季铵盐更强的杀菌力和更高的表面活性以及相转移催化能力，同时和阳离子、非离子表面活性剂复配时可产生更大的协同效应，能显著提高体系表面活性。天然、无毒（LD50＞5000mg/Kg）、资源可再生，是21世纪最具代表性的新一代高效表面活性剂之一。忌与阴离子表面活性剂配伍使用。

1、极强的乳化分散能力，适合作含苯环结构及大分子物质以及沥青的高效阳离子乳化剂；
